The challenge
The Township of Weehawken, a dense waterfront municipality on the Hudson River, sustained storm and flooding damage to emergency operations, public spaces, and waterfront infrastructure.
With limited internal grants capacity, the Township needed a partner to manage the full FEMA Public Assistance process and recover costs without exposing the municipality to later de-obligation.
Our approach
Full-service PA management
We managed all 20 project worksheets end to end — from damage documentation and project formulation through Grants Portal submission, obligation, and reimbursement.
Waterfront infrastructure focus
Repairs to bulkheads, parks, and shoreline assets were documented with the engineering and cost detail FEMA requires for permanent work, with mitigation considered where eligible.
